Weekly Photo Challenge – All Star Makeup Edition

It has been a while since I last joined Yumeko weekly photo challenge and it's time to join in the fun!!

1. The Super Star. Something you have used for over a year and will still using.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and Chanel Mat Lumiere Extreme are 2 products I have been using for years and running through many refills.

2. The Fast Rising Star. Something you have used for over 6 months and will still be using.

Giorgio Armami Eyes To Kill are just amazing. Wonderful texture and lasting power. Love love love!!

3. The Number 1 Draft Pick. Something you just started using and am loving it.

I have never tried lip stains before and YSL glossy lip stains are the first I tried. The colour selections are amazing. I had a hard time trying to choose the shades I wanted!!

4. The FAIL. Something you tried recently and does not work for you.

Revlon lip butters are such a disappointment especially when there were raves and raves going on the beauty blogsphere before they finally reached our shore. But it just didn't work for me, my lips ended up feeling dry and cracked instead of moisturised. *thumbs down*

5. The Experiment. Something you bought and am going to try next.

Ok, this is not something I bought as it was a sample gifted to me by Jacq. Chanel Perfection Lumiere liquid foundation is yet another highly raved product and I'm glad that the initial feel of the product was good so far.

Are you guys interested in joining this photo challenge? Come join in the fun. :)

  2. Sorry to hear that the lip butter does not work for you. I like it so much and I bought them at just $8.40 at the airport :)
I agree that GA ETK is the fast rising star. I have no regret buying and having many etks in my stash, they are just worth every penny :)

  3. I still have a brand new unopened lip butter, let me pass it to u the next date we have a play date :)

Totally agree that ETK is worth every penny! I rather spend more to get ETK than save some money and get cheaper ones

  4. I liked the Revlon Lip Butter but their Kissable Balm Stains are even better. I've not used SKII FTE as the scent is too strong for me, but my mother just finished her first bottle and her skintone is visibly whitened and brighted. Amazing stuff!

    1. It seems like I am the one of the few who dislike Revlon lip butter, so sad :(

Glad to know that SK II FTE worked for your mum. My sis used it for 2 weeks and her skin sensitivity got much better.

  5. I have been wanting to try the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and Chanel Perfection Lumiere for a long time--but now I want the Mat Lumiere Extreme too (I have very oily skin and just started experimenting with powder foundations--something I've never used before because I prefer the more natural look of a liquid foundation)! Great picks! Too bad the Lip Butters didn't work for you--I loved them and they were super moisturizing on my dry lips. I HATED the Balm Stains though--they really did a number on my lips (super drying!)

    1. Hi Becca,

if you have oily skin, it will be a good idea to try out SK II facial Treatment Essence, it helps me to balance out the oiliness from my skin. After consistent uses, my skin does not feels as oily as before.
