Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Weekend is movie day again and we headed to VideoEzy after breakfast to see if there are any titles that caught our eyes and we would like watch. BC has mentioned a few times that there are massive CGIs in the movie 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' and insisted that we should watch Blu-Ray instead of DVD, so rented Blu-Ray instead.

After watching this show, I really wish that animals who are oppressed and bullied in animal farms should be able to uprise and scare the s**t out of the idiots who does nasty things to them. Why do the apes uprise? Gosh, they were locked in crappy place and fed with crappy food and the person who supposedly should be taking care of them is bullying them like a toy. This is why we always say: 'Animals have feelings and they are no different from humans. Human beings just happen to be higher up in the food chain'. At the end of the day, these animals just wanted to be treated with basic respect!

There have been more and more cases of animal abuses in Singapore and one of which is actually a pest control company placing a glue trap which killed a stray cat because the amount of glue used was too excessive. I have no idea what the hell these people really think but they are just inhumane. I would love to pour glue over them and hope they suffer the same fate as the poor animals.

Back to the movie, it's definitely worth the watch! The CGI is impressive and given the advancement of technology, there is really no way of telling what is real or fake. Storyline is touching too..... the friendship between the ape and the male lead is really amazing, I feel they are really a family, just like me and my 4 fur babies. :)

Homemade tuna and egg salad

Lately I have been craving for salads and since salads are healthier (depending on what ingredients are used), it's an excellent way for me to start my diet.

The ingredients in the salad are:-
1) Salad mix from Cold Storage
2) Tuna chunks in water
3) Boiled eggs
4) Chopped red apples

Salad dressing for 2 (ingredients all mixed together):-
1) 5 cloves garlic (chopped)
2) 2 tablespoons of yellow mustard
3) 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt
4) 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
5) 1 lemon (squeezed for the juice)
6) A dash of black pepper and chopped parsley
7) 1 tablespoon of sugar free maple flavored syrup
8) A bit of water if you prefer the dressing to be not too thick

This is the first time we are making our own salad dressing and I'm glad it turned out well. I love the mustard taste!

If you do not have coconut oil, you can use olive oil but reduce it to only 1 tablespoon as the taste of coconut oil is much lighter than olive oil and will not mask the taste of other ingredients as much as olive oil.

I hope you would like this recipe after trying it too. :)

Review: Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand in Vermeer

I have never really like cream blush because cream just does not seem to last well on my combination skin. Coupled with the hot and humid weather in Singapore, how worse can it become? But in my recent Zuneta haul, I can't help but add Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand to my shopping bag. Ok fine, I added it in to make up for the minimal order for free international shipping anyways. Lol.

As you can see above, it looks almost like a lipstick in a plastic case. It's actually not very big at only 4ml and when placed next to Chanel Rouge Coco Shine (see below), you can see it is 'fatter' and shorter than it.

When you remove the cap to the blush wand, there is a plastic cap which tightly cover the tip of the wand. It actually helps to prevent the cream blush from drying up faster than it should be. The shade I chose is Vermeer which is a slight warm toned pink cream blusher. Interestingly ,it looks more peachy than pink in the tube but when swatched on the skin, the pink tone stands out more. The texture is very smooth and creamy and there is also a tinge of sweet fragrance to it.

I have tried Vermeer on my combination skin on days that I head to work and I played around to see if it applies better with my face with liquid foundation or 2 way foundation. Application of RBR Blush Wand is easier when I apply liquid foundation on my face than 2-way foundation; blending is easier after liquid foundation and I do not get the cakey, 'I have wiped off my 2 way foundation' look.

On my NC30 skin, Vermeer does not really stand out and appears more like a subtle shade of pink which is there and not there at the same time. I know there are ladies out there who prefer their blusher to stand out or that people should be able to tell that they applied blusher. My personal preference is to have a subtle shade of blush which gives me that perk me up but not too strong type of shade. Vermeer is actually lighter than how I would prefer it to be, which makes layering an avenue for me. I have tried layering it with MAC Pink Porcelain or MAC Warm Soul and I really love the glowy effect I get for a simple look.

I cannot comment on the longevity of RBR Blush Wand on me as makeup does not usually last more than 6 hours on me. Typically after 6 hours, I do not see any blush effect on me anymore and Vermeer is no exception.

For ladies out there who have never tried cream blush just like me, the shape and casing of RBR makes application pretty idiot proof, just sweep and blend. The only drawback is that they are only available on So if there are more stuffs that caught your eyes from the site to enjoy free shipping, give it a try. :)

Completed: SK-II Skin Refining Treatment

I feel sooo great whenever I complete a product because I will only complete a good product! If only I can do the same with my makeup but I think that will be a SUPER MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. Haha.

This time round, I completed SK-II Skin Refining Treatment, which is a night moisturiser.

Credit: SK-II

Extracted from SK-II website:-

A pore minimising cream that leads to smooth, clear skin by helping prevent the build-up of old skin and clogged pores. Pitera™ and an active BHA formula exfoliate dead skin cells, so pores are refined.

Like mentioned above, it is a CREAM. Don't worry that it's a rich and thick cream, because it is not thus making it suitable for ladies who have combination or oily skin who would like to improve their skin texture and minimise pores. The texture is in a form of a light cream and upon application, I feel it leaves a light sheen on the skin surface, as if it is not absorbed into the skin. When I started using this, honestly I dislike the fact that I can feel it on my skin with a light sheen. But after a while, I learnt to live with it since I am not doing anything after application except sleep, haha.

As this is a night moisturiser, I use this after toner and essence. A tip for ladies who has breakouts is to apply a slightly thicker layer over the pimple or bump and let the BHA in the cream does the magic and minimise the pimples. I have tried this trick over my pimples many times and it always work to soothe my breakouts.

It only comes in one size of 50g and I cannot remember the price of it except it is around $180 range so for you out there who is keen to try but is concern that it might not be suitable for you, ask for a sample over the counter. That's how I got started too! :)

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

I won tickets to free movie again!!!! And this time round, we won tickets to the preview of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance in 3D at The Cathay.

One thing about 3D movie which I absolutely hate is the 3D glasses. Yes, I am short-sighted and I do wear glasses on and off but I still hate it because I do not have a prominent nose bridge which the glasses rest nicely. This of course doesn't get any better will a 3D glasses which is made to suit EVERYBODY.

Storyline-wise, let's just say it's PREDICTABLE. Yes, you can be the script-writer whereby you will know what is going to happen next. I personally prefer the 1st Ghost Rider movie and I find it was more 'fresh' and interesting. The graphic of this new Ghost Rider looks more fake than the first too. Somehow, I cannot pin point what looks wrong about it.

Thankfully, I won the tickets to watch it in 3D for free as I would never fork out $13 to watch a 3D movie. Well, is it theatre-worthy? I say you can wait for the DVD to be out and rent and watch it in the comfort of your home. :)

Sooo disappointed with Hatched

Friends who have been reading my blog or checking out my check ins on Facebook will know that I'm like a super supporter and loyal customer of Hatched. They serve wonderful food at reasonable price thus even at a super inconvenient location at Evans Lodge (which we had to take a taxi down), we still go down pretty often around once to twice a month. But sad to say, lately their services did disappoint me quite a bit.

The first disappointment came 2 weeks ago when I made a reservation for 4 at 11am. When we reached around 11am, we were asked to wait while our table is being prepared. This wait was close to 30 mins which I told BC that if I do not get a table within the next 5 mins, we are leaving. Services that day was slow, they took long to take our orders, serve us our drinks and food that even BC got pissed off and asked them why are customers coming in later than us and placing order later than us, are getting their food earlier than us? In the end, they apologized to us stating that they were short-handed in the kitchen and thus the result of the slow service. We were actually pleased that they bothered to apologize and explain for their slow services because they do jolly well kept quiet and be busy the whole day. So we can rest this case.

The second disappointment came yesterday wben we went Hatched for our brunch. I placed a reservation for 1030am which was not recorded in their book at all. My name wasn't there! Lucky for us, there wasn't any crowd there thus they were able to give us our table. Subsequently when we were placing or order, there is a major screw up. BC ordered their pancakes and wanted to add eggs and bacon. He asked Staff A if he were to add an extra serving of egg, how many eggs would that be. She said that will be 2 sunny side up. Fine, so he placed his order with an extra serving of egg and bacon. Then when they served our food, his 1 egg came first. So we went blur because we thought it was supposed to be 2 eggs. In addition, why is the bacon missing from the plate? So we asked Staff B (who served us our food) whether our extra serving of egg is 1 or 2 eggs because she is only serving 1. She went blur....... like total blank out, like we are talking in alien language. Then she said 1 egg and when we asked why did Staff A told us an extra serving of egg is 2 eggs, she went blank again. Then she went in and out of the kitchen a few times and Staff C came and asked us what is the issue and we told him that we were told when we placed an order for AN extra serving of egg, it will be 2 eggs and now we are served with only 1. In the end, Staff C said extra egg is at $1 each and if we want 2 extra eggs, it will be $2. Ok FINE, we will take 2 eggs at $2, we hate more explaining. And after that, Staff A came over again and ask if everything is all right and we said yah so as to shut her up.

One thing about the servers at Hatched is they are mainly young adults and they look like students working part time. Lately we noticed that some of these servers have no idea what they need to do. We need to put in extra effort to get their attention (like their eyes are zooming in and out and looking everywhere else but at the direction of the customers). Honestly, I am kind of disappointed with their services these 2 times and given that we have to take a cab to and from this place, it would really be good that they can get back to the kind of services we used to get when I started patronising this place. However, I have to give it to them that their food did not change in anyway, it still taste as good even during the time when they were short handed, KUDOS TO THEM on this!

Review: Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush

I have always prefer my trusted FINGERS when applying liquid foundation but after a while, I realised that most of the products end up on my finger than my face. Then I turned to makeup sponges because they are just plain cheap and affordable. Imagine a whole big bag of makeup sponges at Daiso that only cost $2, how affordable is that? BUT....... just like the definition of sponge, it soak up most of the foundation as well and I ended using more foundation than usual.

So I turned to foundation brush and my very 1st foundation brush was a travel-size Bobbi Brown foundation brush which I got for free because I purchased above a certain amount. Sad to say that as much as I love its liquid foundation, I hate this brush. Streaks and streaks of foundation appears on my face and I look awful. And one day many months ago, I was surfing the beauty blogsphere like how I usually was and I saw wonderful review of Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush on Cafe Makeup, I knew I had to get it! After surfing the local blogsphere, the pleasant surprise was this brush is actually quite affordable at $40, honestly not too bad!

As you can see from the picture above, the brush is packed densely with synthetic bristles. BUT it is very very soft. In fact, when I first touched it at the Shiseido counter at Clementi BHG, the SA said she has yet to sell it but she knows from other counters that it is a very popular brush with super soft bristles. The tip is slanted so that it is easier to reach areas like the corner of our nose, under the eyes and other contour of our face.

I have tried the usual way of applying foundation with this brush, which is the normal flat brush way of applying (imagining painting the wall??) and I find it quite good. NO MORE STREAKS! Then I realised the correct way of using this brush to achieve the flawless, airbrushed effect is by dapping the brush with foundation over the areas of our face (paying more attention by dapping more on the areas that you would like more coverage) and then using light strokes to smooth it out. The effect is wonderful...... Smooth, streakless and airbrushed natural coverage.
I have washed this brush a few times considering I have been using it for more than 4 - 5 months and the fallout of bristles was really minimal (in fact almost none except for a few).

There are blogs that raved about this brush even when they are applying compact foundation but my personal opinion when I tried it was I dislike it. I still prefer the conventional way of applying compact foundation with a sponge as I get to smooth out the powder more easily than using the brush and dap dap dap. I ended up spending more time applying compact foundation than liquid foundation, which totally defeated the whole purpose of applying compact powder when I am pressed for time!

I have really said enough, this brush is wonderful, everyone should just get one! In fact, I was sooo tempted to get a backup of it!

Completed: Lancome Hydra Zen Neocalm Fluid Cream

I have completed another skincare product, yeah! And this time round, I finally completed Lancome Hydra Zen Neocalm Fluid Cream after almost 1 year (oppsss, damn long right? Haha).
Credit: Lancome

Extracted from Lancome website:-
This ultra-light fluid cream gently soothes and moisturises the skin, leaving it soft, smooth and radiant.

HYDRA ZEN NEUROCALM™ features a unique technology to provide intense, immediate and continuous moisturisation and soothe sensitive skin.

What attracted me to consider trying this product previously was it claims to be able to moisturise and sooth sensitive skin. I have combination skin which is sensitive at times and there was a period of time whereby my skin is sensitive (with red patches) and the skin surface always feel tight and uncomfortable.
As you can see from the picture above, Lancome Hydra Zen Neocalm Fluid Cream is almost like a cream form but it is actually a very light and milky lotion, thus making it suitable for combination skin. After gently massaging into the skin, it seems to leave a light sheen on the surface but give it about 10 seconds, it will be fully absorbed into the skin. In addition, it has a light, relaxing fragrance that makes one feel relaxed after applying this.

It did not really help in soothing my sensitive skin but after applying it daily twice a day for about 2 weeks, my skin does not feel as dry as before. However, after the problem of my dry and tight surface is solved, I noticed that it is not as suitable for me to apply it during daytime whereby the weather in Singapore is hot and humid, I felt that my skin is over-moisturised and started to get oily. Thus, I only use it during night time when we need more moisture (explaining why I took 1 year to finish it, lol).

In my honest opinion, I think it will make a good night moisturiser for combination skin that is prone to oiliness and given Singapore's weather, it will make a better day moisturiser for one with normal skin than combination skin. Would I buy it again? I don't think so (in the short term) as there are other moisturisers in the market that can provide sufficient moisturiser to combination skin like what Lancome Hydra Zen Neocalm Fluid Cream claim to do. In fact, I would prefer the texture of Clinique Moisture Surge Extra over this, since it is lighter and more refreshing. :)

Drips Bakery Cafe

To celebrate a fellow colleague's birthday, we headed somewhere away from our office to have a nice simple lunch. We gave him the option of sandwich or Thai food and he chose the former. Thus we headed to Drips Bakery Cafe at Tiong Poh Road.

Drips is a small cozy cafe a street away from the famous Tiong Bahru Market. I believe it's name comes from them serving iced dripped coffee as one of the item on the menu. Other items on their menu are assorted sandwiches on croissant or bread, cakes and tarts.

Prices is considered to be on a steep side as a simple sandwich (no bigger than the size of a Delifrance sandwich) cost $13.80. Additional cheese or avocado cost $2. Drinks cost between $4.80 to $6.50 and their tarts is around $6 each. However, with the steep price, I had to say their ingredients are fresh. I ordered a smoked salmon sandwich and it has lettuce, smoked salmon, some brinjal like thing with honey mustard (you can even see the mustard seed!)

Drips is also known for their tarts and of course it doesn't come cheap too. At $6 each with the size of smaller than a tea cup saucer, it's expensive. But they are generous with the fillings. We ordered a raspberry tart and chocolate tart and the raspberries are big and juicy. Chocolate tart is rich and not too sweet too.

Would I go there again? Honestly 50:50 because the prices are really steep but once a while it is a nice place to chill with friends because of it's cozy ambience.
Nice open ceiling concept

My Valentine's Day

To me, everyday can be a Valentine's Day and you need no special day in a year to show your significant half your appreciation. Me and BC have never been a fan of Valentine's Day because it's just a marketing gimmick for shops and restaurants to over charge you. Once a year event, they would be stupid to not make the extra bucks! Hahaha.

We usually celebrate Valentine's Day in the comfort of our home and prepare our own dinner. Simple, cozy affair rather than crowd with other couples and pay extra money to have food. This year, we had our own burgers! We headed to Cold Storage after work to get the ingredients and we saw this cute heart-shaped beef patties.

BC with his usual adventurous cooking habit added cheese and bacon as toppings to the patties (don't ask me how he did it as I am only in charge of eating, lol) and it looks good man! The good thing about cooking at home is it is usually healthy because you can control the amount of oil, fats and salt in your food. These burgers win Outback's that I had a few days ago!

Dessert is Da Paolo Gastronomia's white choc & cornflakes scone with ice cream. Yummy........... Simple and nice! The scone is pretty huge and is enough for 2 persons' portion. It's the biggest scone I ever had. :)

I hope you guys had a wonderful Valentine's Day as well. Happy V Day! :)

Edward Bess Ultra Luminous Bronzer in DayDream

One of the product that I purchased from previously was Edward Bess Ultra Luminous Bronzer in DayDream. It has received much raves from beauty bloggers who were able to lay their hands on it. Honestly, I did not know what was the rave about until I got it, saw it and swatch it.

The plastic case looks a little bit understated and simple and do not have the statement that Chanel creates even though their product was housed in a plastic case. However, what lies IN the case is the treasure.
The bronzer with slight golden shimmers has 'EB' embossed in it and it looks lovely. When swatched, the texture is smooth and feels satiny. It gives a very subtle glow, which is the effect from the shimmers in it. This is definitely a perk me up especially for ladies who had a long night the night before, it will definitely give you the glow back!

As usual, I tried to do some comparison with my pathetic stash (again!!!) and I only have 2 other bronzers: MAC Pink Power (Wonder Woman Collection) and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer.
MAC Pink Power, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, EB Ultra Luminous Bronzer

Swatches taken under lighting

As you can see from the swatches above, MAC Pink Power has a more orangey undertone, whereas Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and EB DayDream is closer in terms of colour (more brown and bronzy).

You can also see that the shimmer in EB DayDream is almost non-existent, no thanks to my lousy camera and thus it looks almost the same as Too Faced Chocolate Soleil but trust me, it is different!

I have never know the difference in my bronzers until I did this comparison and what can I say??? There is a GOOD reason why beauty bloggers rave about EB Daydream! :)

Outback Steakhouse

BC has been craving for meat, meat and more meat lately and he told me that he really would like to have dinner at Outback Steakhouse. Thus, we headed to Outback Steakhouse after our movie for dinner.

But alas that they were super crowded and given that we did not have any table reservation, we were placed on waiting list and the server said they will call us when the table is ready. But we waited and waited for 40mins and we still did not receive any call. So we headed down to the restaurant again and now the server told us our table is ready.

The restaurant is really crowded and the staffs are always running up and down. It was tough getting their attention to take our orders. BC settled on their 10oz ribeye steak and I was really not in a mood for any meat and the fish dishes just don't appeal to me. I eventually decided on their Typhoon Burger which is a cheeseburger with strings of onion rings in it.
BC's 10oz ribeye steak

Typhoon Burger

Check out the ingredients in the burger and how thick it is!

Honestly, the burger is too oily and rich in taste for my liking. I guess I was more in the mood for something lighter. But BC totally enjoyed his steak. He claimed that it was soft and tender and literally melted in his mouth.

Service of the staffs in the restaurant were really not good that day. They took long to serve us water and they eventually also gave us the wrong bill. However, given that they are really busy, I guess it is really not their fault in a way.

Ettusais & Paula's Choice, my saviour combating breakouts!

I'm sure most ladies are plagued the same way I am, having breakouts before or during the time of the month. Serously, it sucks! You are feeling uncomfortable and all and you have to see the pimples popping out on your face, wth man.

Lately, I noticed the breakouts became more severe than before resulting in more pimples and more 'potent' ones (big and red! yucks!!!). Thus, I cannot stick to my usual Clarins cum SK II skincare routine anymore...... I was at wits' end when I thought why not give Ettusias a try? I have known it to be suitable in treating adult's acne but whether effective or not, still a question mark. Luckily, the price was reasonable like $20 for the soap and $37 for Version Up (equivalent of a softener), so I guess why not?

Honestly, I hate facial soap....... It always looks disgusting after while and there is always the hygience issue. Thus, we always have to take note to keep it in a dish and not keep it wet. Another tip which the SA taught me was to NOT lather the soap under running water, the soap will turn soft very quickly. The correct way is to wet your hands and lather up. The pro about using Ettusais Acne Gentle Wash bar soap is my face feels clean and fresh after washing. Feels great after a hot and sweaty day. However, it does makes my skin feels alittle dry and tight and thus Ettusais AC Skincare Skin Version Up Extra is here to the rescue!

Ettusais AC Skincare Skin Version Up Extra is effectively a softener and thus we do not apply this like a toner whereby we pour it on a cotton pad and wipe or pad our face with. Instead, it's gel like texture makes it feels more like a moisturiser. It's easily absorbed and my skin immediately feels hydrated without feeling heavy and oily. A lot of people have the misconception that oily skin or acne prone skin should skip moisturiser. WRONG WRONG WRONG! By skipping moisturiser, your pores will secrete more oil to compensate for the lack of moisture on the skin surface! So the right way is to look for a SUITABLE, LIGHT WEIGHT moisturiser for your oily or acne prone skin.

Paula's Choice 2% BHA Lotion is another saviour. Actually for my combination skin, I should be using the gel form instead of lotion (which is actually more suitable for normal to dry skin) but there was previously some offer for lotion form in 1 of the spree so I took the leap and just got it! Honestly, my breakouts actually got worse initially when I first started using it, but after a week, the pimples started to subside and after 2 weeks, I do feel that my skin surface is not as rough as before. I do not apply the lotion over the whole face but instead over the pimples (which mainly occurs along the side of my face).

For you ladies out there who are plagued by breakouts or adult acne, Ettusias and Paula's Choice is definitely pocket friendly enough for you to give it a try. :)

1) I love cats. Cats or children, I choose cats, anytime.
2) No, I do not love my job but at least it is bearable and it pays the bills.
3) I'm not extrovert and I get uncomfortable meeting new people. But once I warm up to them, I can be a clown with them. :)
4) At times, I just don't feel like talking and this can go on for the whole day, haha.
5) I used to want to be a makeup artist.
6) Staying at home and do nothing but read a good book while my cats are sleeping is something I enjoy.
7) I do not appreciate people telling me that they treat me as their friends when their actions and words tell otherwise.

Underworld Awakening

Me and BC are always keen with movie plots with vampires in it and since we have been watching every movie of Underworld, of course we have to continue watching the next movie of Underworld which is 'Underworld Awakening'.

As usual, Kate Beckinsale is still in the skin tight leather suit and she still looks good as ever. The effects are pretty good and the storyline is also very intriguing and exciting. Me and BC were kept on our toes throughout the whole show. Interestingly, there is a twist at the end of the show and it seems that we will be seeing another Underworld movie after this........... I certainly hope they do not overkill this saga..... Haha.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Long lasting eyeshadow in Angelic Cockatiels

Remember my earlier post on my haul from Zuneta? This post is dedicated to one of the items that I hauled and that is Rouge Bunny Rouge Long lasting eyeshadow in Angelic Cockatiels.

I love the bunnies cartoon on the box and it's really cute. The pressed shadow are housed in a plastic case that interestingly has a small mirror in it. That's something very thoughtful and useful especially when touching up on the go. :) When looking at the colour in the pan, it looks close to taupe but when swatch, you are in for a big surprise.

At GBP22 for 2.4g of product, I am really glad to see that it is made in Italy. Somehow, seeing that it is made in some European country made me feel more balanced in paying the extra money. Lol

Now to the swatch of Angelic Cockatiels...... It is a shimmery peach tone shadow which is entirely different from what we see on the pan. The texture is smooth and buttery with a creamy touch which makes application a breeze. The shimmers are just of the right amount without looking over the top. What can I say? I am in love with this baby already.

When browsing through my pathetic stash (haha), hoping to make some comparison, the closest I found (which is actually not so close) are GA Eyes to Kill #8 Champagne and Urban Decay's Sin. However, as you can see, RBR Angelic Cockatiels has a stronger peach undertone and ETK Champagne looks more silverish in comparison. Sin, on the other hand looks pinkier. In terms of the shimmery effect, I would say they look all about the same.
Pic above taken indoor (without primer)

Pic above taken with natural light (without primer)

Well, RBR shadow claims to be long lasting as well and when I make a comparison between the lasting effect of RBR and ETK, it seems comparable. Despite rubbing the shadow swatches on my hand, it still stayed on with slight fall out. Given that I did not use a primer in this test, I would say the result is really acceptable.

Is RBR long lasting shadow drool worthy, I say YES to the packaging, the colour and the texture. The only drawback is the price tag. At GBP22, almost S$44, it's quite a hefty price.

Thanks to my bro in law who asked me to participate in the contest to win free movie preview, I won a pair of movie tickets to catch 'Chronicle' on Tuesday before it was officially open to the public.

Security was really tight and we have to surrender our mobile phones, cameras, iPod, laptop, Gameboy etc etc. As long as it is electronic stuffs that could have the possibility of taking pics or videos have to be surrendered. Before entering the theatre, they will also check your bag to make sure you did not bring in anything that you did not declare. On top of that, throughout the whole movie, there will also be guards walking around to make sure you are not taking pics and all. Really strict!!!

Honestly, I went for the show with completely no idea what the show was about and thank goodness it was not something gory. The story is about 3 teenagers who acquired special powers after finding some meteor or something. But as usual, with great power comes with great responsibilities and along the way, 1 of them began to use the powers for other use, in a bad way.

Actually, I feel this is quite a sad story. For you out there who have watched or read Stephen King's 'Carrie', it is almost along the same plot. The main lead is an outcast in and out of school coupled with family issues. It's no wonder his thinking of using the special powers got twisted.

In any case, I hope I did not reveal too much spoiler of this movie. Haha. Is it movie worthy? Well...... given the high price of movie tickets nowadays, I think it's more DVD worthy although the special effects are pretty good.

I have heard and read about beauty bloggers hauling from for quite a while but never thought of checking out their stuffs. However, when lovely Iariae and myself were exchanging watsapp msgs over Muji drawers, she recommended me to check out this lovely site for Edward Bess and Rouge Bunny Rouge. And man, this site is EVIL!

Needless to say, I hauled some items....... But but but, it's only 5 items! Hahaha. I have to say their customer service is impressive. I placed an order on Sunday night, Singapore time and by Monday night (the next day), I received an email that my items are shipped out via DHL. Wow! That's fast!!! And guess what? This parcel is then delivered to my place by Wednesday morning. All within 2.5 days and I received my items flown in from UK. Impressive!

The items are packed nicely in a box about the size of a show box

So anyway, my hauls are below....... Be patient as I try once again to survive the month end reporting and I will take more (miserable, lol) pictures of each of the items and share them with you.

Top row from left: Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush in Hanbanera and Edward Bess (!!!!) bronzer in Daydream
Bottom row from left: Rouge Bunny Rouge Loose Glitter Pigment in Embrace of Cashmere, Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-lasting Eye Shadow in Angelic Cockatiels, Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand in Vermeer

I am like a happy young child opening my present when the DHL guy came, OMG!!! Have you tried anything from Zuneta yet? Do share with me if you did :).
