Rouge Bunny Rouge: Embrace of Cashmere & Caress of Mink

Part of my Zuneta haul that I had months ago are loose glitter pigments from Rouge Bunny Rouge in Embrace of Cashmere and Caress of Mink. Honestly, I have never been a fan of pigments because I find it messy to play around with pigments and it is hard to control the amount during application. What made me buy them then? I only wanted to meet the minimum amount for qualify for free international shipping. Lame reason, I know... but that's the truth. But after playing around with it, I did not regret this purchase at all.

As you can see above, it is housed in a sleek plastic tube and you can see the pigments from the exterior. It would be much better than the black cap of the tube is screwed on instead of just a cap which is not tight at all.

The remedying factor of my peeve that the black cap that is not tight is that the sponge applicator double up as a vial stopper. This certainly prevents any messy pigments flying around.

You must be thinking, NEUTRAL colour again????!!!! Yes, this is boring me, always looking at safe, neutral colour, hahahahaha. I love how the glitters in these pigments comes out without making you look like a disco balls. With these pigments, it is a MUST to apply eyeshadow primer before application in order for them to last well on you.

Review: Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand in Vermeer

I have never really like cream blush because cream just does not seem to last well on my combination skin. Coupled with the hot and humid weather in Singapore, how worse can it become? But in my recent Zuneta haul, I can't help but add Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand to my shopping bag. Ok fine, I added it in to make up for the minimal order for free international shipping anyways. Lol.

As you can see above, it looks almost like a lipstick in a plastic case. It's actually not very big at only 4ml and when placed next to Chanel Rouge Coco Shine (see below), you can see it is 'fatter' and shorter than it.

When you remove the cap to the blush wand, there is a plastic cap which tightly cover the tip of the wand. It actually helps to prevent the cream blush from drying up faster than it should be. The shade I chose is Vermeer which is a slight warm toned pink cream blusher. Interestingly ,it looks more peachy than pink in the tube but when swatched on the skin, the pink tone stands out more. The texture is very smooth and creamy and there is also a tinge of sweet fragrance to it.

I have tried Vermeer on my combination skin on days that I head to work and I played around to see if it applies better with my face with liquid foundation or 2 way foundation. Application of RBR Blush Wand is easier when I apply liquid foundation on my face than 2-way foundation; blending is easier after liquid foundation and I do not get the cakey, 'I have wiped off my 2 way foundation' look.

On my NC30 skin, Vermeer does not really stand out and appears more like a subtle shade of pink which is there and not there at the same time. I know there are ladies out there who prefer their blusher to stand out or that people should be able to tell that they applied blusher. My personal preference is to have a subtle shade of blush which gives me that perk me up but not too strong type of shade. Vermeer is actually lighter than how I would prefer it to be, which makes layering an avenue for me. I have tried layering it with MAC Pink Porcelain or MAC Warm Soul and I really love the glowy effect I get for a simple look.

I cannot comment on the longevity of RBR Blush Wand on me as makeup does not usually last more than 6 hours on me. Typically after 6 hours, I do not see any blush effect on me anymore and Vermeer is no exception.

For ladies out there who have never tried cream blush just like me, the shape and casing of RBR makes application pretty idiot proof, just sweep and blend. The only drawback is that they are only available on Zuneta.com. So if there are more stuffs that caught your eyes from the site to enjoy free shipping, give it a try. :)

Rouge Bunny Rouge Long lasting eyeshadow in Angelic Cockatiels

Remember my earlier post on my haul from Zuneta? This post is dedicated to one of the items that I hauled and that is Rouge Bunny Rouge Long lasting eyeshadow in Angelic Cockatiels.

I love the bunnies cartoon on the box and it's really cute. The pressed shadow are housed in a plastic case that interestingly has a small mirror in it. That's something very thoughtful and useful especially when touching up on the go. :) When looking at the colour in the pan, it looks close to taupe but when swatch, you are in for a big surprise.

At GBP22 for 2.4g of product, I am really glad to see that it is made in Italy. Somehow, seeing that it is made in some European country made me feel more balanced in paying the extra money. Lol

Now to the swatch of Angelic Cockatiels...... It is a shimmery peach tone shadow which is entirely different from what we see on the pan. The texture is smooth and buttery with a creamy touch which makes application a breeze. The shimmers are just of the right amount without looking over the top. What can I say? I am in love with this baby already.

When browsing through my pathetic stash (haha), hoping to make some comparison, the closest I found (which is actually not so close) are GA Eyes to Kill #8 Champagne and Urban Decay's Sin. However, as you can see, RBR Angelic Cockatiels has a stronger peach undertone and ETK Champagne looks more silverish in comparison. Sin, on the other hand looks pinkier. In terms of the shimmery effect, I would say they look all about the same.

Well, RBR shadow claims to be long lasting as well and when I make a comparison between the lasting effect of RBR and ETK, it seems comparable. Despite rubbing the shadow swatches on my hand, it still stayed on with slight fall out. Given that I did not use a primer in this test, I would say the result is really acceptable.

Is RBR long lasting shadow drool worthy, I say YES to the packaging, the colour and the texture. The only drawback is the price tag. At GBP22, almost S$44, it's quite a hefty price.

I have heard and read about beauty bloggers hauling from Zuneta.com for quite a while but never thought of checking out their stuffs. However, when lovely Iariae and myself were exchanging watsapp msgs over Muji drawers, she recommended me to check out this lovely site for Edward Bess and Rouge Bunny Rouge. And man, this site is EVIL!

Needless to say, I hauled some items....... But but but, it's only 5 items! Hahaha. I have to say their customer service is impressive. I placed an order on Sunday night, Singapore time and by Monday night (the next day), I received an email that my items are shipped out via DHL. Wow! That's fast!!! And guess what? This parcel is then delivered to my place by Wednesday morning. All within 2.5 days and I received my items flown in from UK. Impressive!

So anyway, my hauls are below....... Be patient as I try once again to survive the month end reporting and I will take more (miserable, lol) pictures of each of the items and share them with you.
