SUQQU Blend Color Eyeshadow Palette in EX-11 Sumiredama

One of the counters that I told myself that I cannot miss during my Tokyo trip is SUQQU since it is totally unavailable in Singapore. I bought 2 eyeshadow palettes from the Spring 2013 Collection and today I am featuring EX-11 Sumiredama.

As EX-11 Sumiredama is a limited edition item, the case is different from the usual glossy black plastic case. Instead, it is a white matte case.

EX-11 Sumiredama is a purple-toned palette with shimmery pink, shimmery taupe, duo chrome dark purple / dark grey (? it's quite hard to isolate the real shade) and matte beige.

SUQQU never fail to deliver on the quality of the eyeshadow palettes because the texture is almost beyond this world: SMOOTH, FINE MILLED, BUTTERY........ It's just wow! Swatching this palette is such a breeze!

The colours show up nicely and easily on the skin and I did not experience any fallouts during application. I love this palette.

I did a simple FOTD with this palette on a movie date with BC. I applied the shimmery pink on my crease with shimmery taupe on outer V. Duo chrome purple was applied near to the lashline as a form of eyeliner and matte beige on the brow bone.

Review: Liese Bubble Hair Colour in Jewel Pink

For ladies who love to DIY your own hair colouring, Liese Bubble Hair Colour is no stranger to you. Today, I am introducing the new colour Jewel Pink to you. :)

My model of this review is my dearest sister, who has naturally black hair. As you can see from the pictures below, her hair is quite dark.

The unique thing about Liese Bubble Hair Colour is that it is in foam form and you gently massage into your hair to ensure every strand of hair is covered with the dye and you need not worry about uneven colouring.

After 30 minutes of waiting, sister finally cannot wait to rinse off and see the results of the colouring. Ta-da............

After using Liese Bubble Hair Colour in Jewel Pink, although my sister's hair do not look exceptionally bright due to her naturally dark hair colour, we can see that it looks brighter and redder than before.

Unlike some hair dye which makes the hair dry after colouring, my sister did not feel so as her hair still feels soft and smooth. This is definitely a plus point to turn to Liese Bubble Hair the next time we would like a DIY hair colouring. :)

Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in 00 Nude

I know I jumped the gun by posting a swatch comparison of Dior's Pink Glow and Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in Nude in my earlier post, but I just had to do it based on some pals' request. However, this post is dedicated to Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in 00 Nude. :)

Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer is housed in a dome-shaped brown plastic case that has the signature G logo on it and it fit nicely onto anyone's palm, like a pressed powder.

It has a faint rosy scent to it and it's similar to Blush G Sakura. Quite a feminine scent, in my opinion. For ladies who doesn't like scent in their product, it's not exactly strong so do try over the counter to see if you can take the scent.

Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in 00 Nude comprises of 4 shades: 3 varying shades of beige / brown and a light rose pink.

For my NC30 skin, the pigmentation actually doesn't show up much and I have to use a dense kabuki brush to apply instead of my usual MAC blush brush. If you like real nude blush (no wonder this bronzer is called NUDE, lol), you might like this bronzer as it gives an almost extremely subtle tan or glow. I personally won't say I dislike this effect as I do have my days when I prefer stronger blush / subtle blush.

For swatches, you can refer to the earlier post whereby I compare this bronzer with Dior's Pink Glow.

The saving grace of this bronzer is it's texture as it's fine-milled and smooth, although Dior felt smoother and buttery in comparison. I do notice that pigments get picked up on the bristles but it's just not pigmented enough.

So the million dollar question........ Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in Nude or Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Pink Glow?? My suggestion:-

- Fuss-free blush that you need not worry about over application, go for Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in Nude. It's almost impossible to go wrong looking like a clown with this shade, even when using a kabuki brush. The only downside is you might use up the product faster if you need more product during applying.

- For pigmented blush and having the option to use as a bronzer, blush or contouring, go for Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Pink Glow. Downside? Go light-handed and blend.

Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer is retailing at $101 over the counter and I paid $90.50 at Changi Airport Duty Free.

Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Pink Glow

The 2 Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo has been creating a lot of hype on the beauty blogsphere and I was really looking forward to getting them for myself. I actually had my eyes on Coral Glow but it was unfortunately not available in Singapore thus I decided to go ahead and purchase Pink Glow at $90 from DFS Scotts last Friday when I met up with Elaine for a dinner date.

Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo is a bronzer-blush duo which gives us the versatility to use it as a bronzer or blush. I personally like to mix up all the shades and apply it as a blush to achieve that bronzed, glowy look. More close up pics of this beauty.....

For ladies who dislike shimmers in your bronzer so that it can be using for contouring, you will be glad to know that the 2 bronzer shades in the pan are matte. The pink peachy shades do not contain shimmers but it was not exactly matte with a satin finish which is perfect as a blush. Here are the swatches:-

The texture is smooth and and soft and the pigmentation is amazing. The colours show up well with just 1 swatch.

A few friends have been asking me how does it compare to Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in Nude so here is the tissue swatch for you, hope it is clear enough.

Bottom row: Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Pink Glow

I would say Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Pink Glow is warmer and more pigmented than Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in Nude. Dior also wins hands down in terms of texture as Guerlain is just not as smooth and buttery as Dior. If you can only get 1 between the 2, go for Dior!

Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo is currently available at DFS Scotts only and I'm not sure when it will be launched over the counters. But if you really would like to own this beauty now, suggest for you to quickly pop by DFS Scotts. :)

Guerlain Shine Automatique in 761 Flirt

Lately I am on a roll on purchasing lipsticks and it is starting to worry me because I take FOREVER to finish a lipstick which means there will NEVER be a chance that my lipstick stash will be under control. Nonetheless, I doubt I am going to stop my lipsticks hauling! Lol

Today I am sharing with you Guerlain Shine Automatique in 761 Flirt (part of 2013 Spring Collection).

Flirt is a gorgeous deep fuchsia berry with shimmers. Honestly, I do not see how this shade is connected to Spring but well, it's gorgeous nonetheless! I tried to capture the shimmers on my camera but unfortunately, the picture below is the best as the camera can goes.

The texture is smooth and for a lipstick that claims to have shine, the pigmentation is impressive. The colour comes out bold and pigmented. I actually got a bit scare off by the strong colour that I bloated off some of it from my lips to achieve a stained look for work.

Back from Tokyo

Sorry for the week long silence as I have been away. This time, I am off to Tokyo for holiday and it was a super good break! Had fun exploring the city, shopped a lot (lol!!), unwind and relax quite a fair bit too. Appreciate if you will be patient with me while I sort out the pictures and blogging posts. In the meantime, I will leave you with my favourite pic of the sakuras I took in Tokyo :)

Guerlain Rose Aux Joues in Peach Boy

Here is another product that was part of 'Project Swap' with Jacq and it's Guerlain Rose Aux Joues in Peach Boy.

Peach Boy consist of a matte orangey coral shade and a shimmery coral shade. The matte shade can be used on its own or layered with the shimmery coral shade which acts like a highlighter.

I personally like mixing the 2 shades together for that shimmery effect. Don't ask me why but I have not fully appreciate matte blushes. Don't worry about looking like a disco ball because the shimmers are very subtle and glowy after blending.

Similar to my review of Guerlain Blush G Sakura, the texture of Peach Boy is dry as well. The saving grace is it's pigmentation so go easy with the brush and blend blend blend to get the effect you desired.

I have not tried other shades from Guerlain Rose Aux Joues but BC commented that I look very vibrant after using this blush so I say this blush is a winner. :)
