I have been having craving for feta cheese lately, I am not sure why......... BUT cheeses (even Kraft singles cheese slices) are really expensive in Singapore!!!! Why?????? Initially I almost gave BC a heart attack when I told him that I wanna buy a BLOCK of feta cheese and slowly cut it bit by bit to eat with bread, plain biscuits or salads and the first question he posted to me was "Do you have any idea how much a BLOCK of feta cheese would cost?". Anyway, I got my answer when we went Cold Storage for our grocery shopping and damn..... it was expensive at around $11 for a small block. Just as I thought I can never satisfy my craving of feta cheese, we saw a small plastic container of marinated feta cheese cubes in olive oil and herbs selling at around $4 and I immediately grabbed it!!!
Around 10pm the same night, I was getting a bit hungry and decided to do some experiment with the feta cheese for some late night snacks. I toasted some stale bread (after spreading some butter and parsley on them) and them spread the toasted bread sticks with feta cheese! Yummy!!!!! Even BC who was not exactly a big fan of cheese was keen to try!

Kyo-Nichi ramen
It has been a while since me and BC went out and really enjoy ourselves with a meal and just nuah outside and after watching an episode of 'Food Jammers' whereby these 3 guys tried their hands on cooking japanese ramen using some fish tank type of automatic cooker, we were seriously craving for some ramen!!! BC then thought of Kyo-Nichi ramen when we used to have when I was still working in Raffles Place years ago and he craved for their char siew (which I thought was nothing fantastic actually.......) and we decided to head down to Marina Square for some ramen.
Honestly, I was quite disappointed with the ramen actually. The soup is still tasty like before but the ramen is not as Q and mine lumps together at some parts which really makes the whole experience abit of a screw up........ I find the ramen at Tampopo restaurant at Ngee Ann city is well better............. Especially the Tonkatsu ramen which has a slightly spicy broth, it's just heavenly. Noodles is also Q and not gluey, which is exactly what I like.
In any case, our ramen craving has been satisfied (for BC only, hahaha) but at least, it wasn't that bad since at least I still got to enjoy the soup! Hahaha.

My retarded...... BB cream craze
I know BB cream has been hyped up like donkey years ago........BUT I was only into this craze recently. Yes..... I am slow, hahaha, but because I always thought that the shade is very light (since it only comes in 1 shade, the most 2) and they are moisturising thus more suitable for normal to dry skin. However, after hearing comments from my friends and colleagues who used BB cream and told me how much better this cream is as compared to liquid foundation, I was totally sold and seriously wanting to try! I done some research (not very extensive given the amount of information on so many beauty blogs that I am just too lazy to look at all of them) and decide to get SAMPLES instead of full size product online.
Went on GMarket to do a search and found that even full size product are so so so much cheaper than those sold in the shops! WTH......... the price difference can be as high as 50%????? Dammit..... more excuses for me to do online shopping than anything, only thing is I still need to check out the shop and be a cheapo woman to test out the shade under the hawk eyes of the sales assistants...... Anyway, decided to get a smaller full size Etude House BB cream that is supposedly for oily skin and a sample tube of the highly raved Skin79 Hot Pink BB cream and both cost me $20!!!! So excited to try them out now!!!!

On a separate note, I 'grabbed' more samples of BB cream from http://www.fr3b.com/ to test out the various brands, so I still waiting for these samples to arrive!

Grab your samples!!!!
I used to be those stupid consumers who usually throw samples (skincare, cosmetics etc) aside and not try them as I prefer to stick to whatever products I have been using to play safe. Never know what these samples can cause in terms of adverse effects right? But now the 'auntie' streak in me is growing and it's always good to try out samples and then purchase full size product if I like them. Even if I do not like them, I can just dump them after using it for a few times. I found the perfect site to grab these samples!!!! Click on the link

New Moon
I have always made it a point to read the novel (if any AND it interest me) before watching the movie and this time round is no exception. I REFUSE to watch 'New Moon' on the big screen as I have not read the book and decided that I would rent the DVD when I am done with the reading. When I was reading the book, I did not feel much emotion except that Bella is such a bitch. However when I started watching the show, I felt so so angry with Edward and Bella. Who the hell is Edward to think that by leaving Bella, it's for her own good. And stupid stupid Bella, such a fickle-minded ass who seek temporary solace in poor Jacob and dumped him when her beau is back..... What the hell.......... He is so much hotter than Edward, can? The hot bod and the eyes...... Gosh, he looks like a puppy than a wolf.........
Testosterone rush!!!! *hot*

Coldplay - Viva la Vida
Thought the tune of this song is quite catchy :)
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listened as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead long live the king
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
Missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you'd gone there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know St Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

I know St Peter won't call my name

Boyzone - Everyday I Love you
Romantic to the max............
I don't know, but I believe
That some things are meant to be
And that you'll make a better me
Everyday I love you
I never thought that dreams came true
But you showed me that they do
You know that I learn somethng new
Everyday I love you
'Cos I believe that destiny
Is out of our control (don't you know that I do)
And you'll never live until you love
With all your heart and soul.
It's a touch when I feel bad
It's a smile when I get mad
All the little things I am
Everyday I love you
Everyday I love you boy
Everyday I love you
'Cos I believe that destiny
Is out of our control (don't you know that I do)
And you'll never live until you love
With all your heart and soul
If I asked would you say yes?
Together we're the very best
I know that I am truly blessed
Everyday I love you
And I'll give you my best
Everyday I love you
I don't know, but I believe
That some things are meant to be
And that you'll make a better me
Everyday I love you
I never thought that dreams came true
But you showed me that they do
You know that I learn somethng new

Security Dogs
In my previous posting I mentioned security dogs in New World Hotel that I was staying in Manila, they are actually quite an obedient. Day shift is a male Jack Rusell and night shift is taken over by a black female dog which I do not know the breed. When I asked the security guard (who is from the K9 unit) if I can take picture of the dog, he gladly gave them a simple command of 'SIT' and they just stayed there while I snapped away on my iPhone. I left after giving them gentle strokes on their heads and they will look at me with they round watery eyes and immediately I missed my kitties already....... AWWWWWWWW.......

Manila
Initially when I knew that I have to come to Manila, the thought just sucks...... People have been telling me how dangerous it is (especially when people get kidnapped) and I should not be walking around all by myself. Lucky for me, the hotel that I am staying in (New World Hotel) at Makati City is good and comfortable. Security everywhere (hotels, shopping centres, offices etc) are really tight. When we arrived at the hotel, the hotel staff have to get their dog to sniff our luggage to make sure we were not carrying dangerous items like b**b and they also inspect our hand carry bags to ensure safety. In addition, all cars that drive into driveway of buildings will be stopped by security whereby the driver is requested to open the boot for inspection as well.

My hauls!
Our colleagues in the Philippines office are very hospitable and really feed us like pigs...... They bring us out for lunches and dinners and ALWAYS over order...... We always have unfinished food that they will 'ta bao' back. One thing about the taste palate here is salty and sweet. For people who are health conscious like my boss totally could not get used to the food. And interestingly, it is so difficult to find good chinese food here, as simple as soup noodles is sooooo hard to find. However, I personally do like this dish called 'Sisig', which is basically stir fried pork meat (the portion that is near the ears) and some pig's intestine. It's spicy, salty and sourish (since we squeeze some lime juice over it before eating) and it goes very very well with rice.
Sisig
On my second day here, our colleagues brought us to this place called 'Greenhills'. It's basically an air-conditioned Chatuchak weekend market. A LOT of counterfeit goods were sold there..... bags, watches, jewelleries and bargaining is allowed! Accordingly to our colleagues, they also sell very nice pearls at cheaper prices than jewellery shops but I did not look at them since I have no intention to get them and I do not want to ask for the price for asking and end up not able to leave the stores as the shop owners will be dying to sell us something. However, I did buy a counterfeit Omega constellation watch (since I could not afford the real one) and fitflops. Cheap and good! Hahaha.
My hauls!
