T asked the lunch kakis over lunch yesterday what was the event that I can immediately recall that I am most happy about. Most of them answered graduating from school, passing exams etc etc. For a while, I was in a total blank out state as I really cannot think of any events that I am most happy about. Not that my entire life is a total disaster that I don't have any happy events but I would not say that there are anything that really really excites and makes me super happy.
Wedding: More excited than happy. After which, fatigue sets in, so to me, not super happy as well.
Graduation: More relieved than anything else because finally NO MORE EXAMS!
Ended up, my answer was bringing Eden back home after adopting her. I guess how I felt at the point in time was the same as how any mothers felt when they 1st held their baby in their arms? This is my guess as I have not have child of my own before and to date, I still don't intend to have. But I am very happy when I brought Eden back because she just look so amazingly cute and little when we 1st set eyes on her and it has always been a dream of mine to have a cat at home and my wish finally came true after having my own place and with the support of BC.
I am actually very thankful that BC supported my decision to have cat as I knew that all the while he prefers dogs. All the comtemplating and reading up on what to prepare to have a pet was not easy and our concern has always been the scratching problems of cats. To date, we still have such problems when the 3 kitties decided to be 'adventurous' and start scratching anything else but their scratching posts but we were still able to manage that. Costs was another consideration given the food, litter, toys and contingencies like visiting the vet etc. But all these $ and efforts are really worth it when we come back home and see them. Every little things that they do (may it be good or bad) just make us laugh.
